Koscom and Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. established a strategic alliance in financial information service

Koscom, a leading financial IT solution provider, signed a MOU with NRI(Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., CEO Tadashi Shimamoto) for cooperation on overall management including IT area. Especially, the companies said on Sept.15 that they would enter into a strategic alliance on main business such as financial information service.

According to the agreement, the two parties are expected to make a plan to discover new business model and opportunity, roll out a joint marketing and push forward technology exchange through regular working-level meetings.

"For a long time, Koscom has established a strong partnership with NRI. It has ever introduced a trading solution from the company in the past. Now, I believe, the alliance will be beneficial for us to expand into global markets." said Cha, Wang Joe, executive director of Koscom.

"Although the history of capital market of Korea is relatively shorter than that of Japan, various solutions and state-of-the-art technologies that Koscom has possessed are marvelous. I hope that both companies will make a lot of developments and our relationship will be further strengthened down the road." said Shin Kusunoki, corporate senior vice president of NRI.

Through the strategic alliance, it is expected that the two leading financial service providers will secure a strong foothold at home and make their advance into overseas markets easier. And financial information service of Asia will be taken to another level as well. (The End)
