Koscom said on November 8 that it would implement an advanced purchasing plan to systematize purchasing ethics, which was pushed forward from March to July this year.

According to the plan, Koscom will eradicate private contract, purchase products without facing and disclose purchasing information and process to strengthen purchasing ethics as well as launch a purchasing task force, select a purchasing agency for wasting stuff and establish an e-purchasing system to improve purchasing efficiency. In this way, Koscom plans to pursue ethical management and  make both Koscom and its partners get benefits while building up an effective SCM(Supply Chain Management) system.

Furthermore, for an effective monitoring, Koscom aims to set up a public management committee composed of outside directors and standing auditors including representatives of public interests and become a leading model of advancing public organizations.

Koscom has made a lot of development with annual sales of 25 billion won since its foundation in 1977 as Korea Securities Computing Corporation specializing in capital market IT solutions. It has also pushed ahead with advancing public organizations as well as labor-management relations since it was designed as other public institution in 2007. To take further steps, Koscom has completed an infrastructure to persistently pursue ethical management through systemization of purchasing ethics.
