□ The biggest Korean Hacking and Defense Competition ‘SecuInside’ and ‘SecuInside conference 2011’ will commence.
□ Koscom, ISAC(Information Sharing & Analysis Center) in financial sector and Donga press announced ‘SecuInside’ and ‘SecuInside conference 2011’ will commence on Oct 6th.
□ 300 of white hacker teams participate in the preliminary round on 7~9th and 8 teams will join final on the date of 24~25th. The Mentoring program and Conference will hold on same day.
□ Preliminary round will process by on-line with 25 questions .
□ Lim Jong-in, a professor of Korea graduate school of Information Security, mentioned that preliminary test focused on understanding of overall system and variety points.
□ Final 8 team matches will proceed CTF (Capture the flag) way which follows world famous contest of ’DEFCON’.
□ The way of CTF is that taking the counterpart’s key faster than competitor; final matching team requires to have a knowledge of Network, Server, OS·IT and etc for attacking and defending at same time.
□ HARU, a hacker group, co-organizer of competition, announced "attacking key codes and submitting to certified server to get the point. The winner will be the team with highest points."
□ "Spears and Shields strategy", a mentoring program will open on final match day(24th) ▷ Studying of Window 8 new platform ▷ System security ▷ Malignant code part ▷Key board hacking and recent security issue & plan for technical reaction.
□ On 25th, 5 sessions of data protection conferences will hold under the theme of ‘For more Secure World’. It will show domestic and over-seas hacking report & hacking and defending knowledge speeches by experts.
□ Woo Joo-ha, Koscom CEO, mentioned "This contest is for re-consideration of social attention to security protections and upgrading national security protection as a pioneer action of finance market." and "It will be the new area of advanced finance technical protection."
