□ The competition among the hacker masters from domestic and abroad will be held in Korea, South Korea.
□ Koscom, in charge of information protection within financial sector, mentioned that it will host ’the 2nd SecuInside 2014’ on June 4, 2012 at Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea. This event is known as an international conference for an hacking and defense contest and information protection.
□ This event, hosted by Koscom and conducted by the Korea University Graduate School of Information and Security with hacking group HARU, will have the preliminaries first from June 9~11 and the final round is planned to be started on July 10~11 along with information protection conference.
□ The preliminaries will be held online and this will require masters to draw an answer for problems by mobilizing knowledges from various sectors including web, system, network, reverse engineering, financial services, smart phone technologies and etc.
□ The final round, competition among the top 8 teams, will proceed in ’CTF(Capture the Flag)’ format which is being played by attacking the other team’s server and capturing the flag. The competitors will also have questions to solve just like what they will do during the preliminaries.
□ The winner will be given with entry fee and research funds required for the overseas conference which is equivalent to 30,000,000 KRW. The team in second place will be also given research funds of 10,000,000 KRW while the team in third place will be given with 5,000,000 KRW.
□ Keep your eyes on this upcoming information protection conference with theme of ’Back of the Old, Back to the Basic’ opening on July 11 together with the final round of this anti-hacking contest.
□ The conference is comprised of 11 sessions and is planning to show the newest knowledge and technologies regarding information protection. Many hacking and security professionals, including Mr. Yuji Ukai from Japan and etc., will come and participate this meaningful event.
□ Woo, the president and CEO of Koscom Corporation, said that "this 2nd SecuInside event will become a festival for all white hackers and security professionals where it covers all the newest financial security-related knowledges and technologies."
